Keith Blackwell, senior counsel in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, has been elected to membership in The American Law Institute (ALI).
A former justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Justice Blackwell brings extensive appellate and judicial experience to his practice advising clients on complex litigation and appeals. He served more than eight years as a justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia and served nearly two years as a judge of the Court of Appeals of Georgia. He also served as the supreme court’s liaison to the State Bar of Georgia, Office of Bar Admissions, Board of Bar Examiners, and Board to Determine the Fitness of Bar Applicants.
Membership in ALI is by invitation only and is widely regarded as one of the legal profession’s highest honors, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and a strong commitment to improving the law.
