Lee DeHihns was quoted in a February 11 article in The National Law Journal titled, "EPA’s Quest for Nano Data Leads to Concern." The article discusses the Environmental Protection Agency’s push to collect scientific data from nanotechnology companies. Even though the program is voluntary, lawyers are concerned about confidentiality and possible disclosure of unwitting violations of the law that could occur. DeHihns said, "The EPA’s stewardship program is a kind of announcement of upcoming regulation…Once they start down this path, most people think it’s going to lead to regulation." He added that, "Alston & Bird is talking to clients about the possibility of participating, which can help the EPA make responsible regulatory decisions."
