The Moving America Forward Act: If Passed, Will Result in Increased Opportunities for Infrastructure Work and Contracting With the Federal Government

The House is continuing to push forward on fiscal year 2024 appropriations bills this week before government funding expires on November 17. House Republicans unveiled their “laddered” stopgap funding bill on November 11, and are expected to vote on it as early as Tuesday. Later this week, Biden will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The Senate will focus on voting on Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court and COVID-19 aid funding. The House will continue with regular business. Both chambers will form a conference committee to sort out the America COMPETES Act. Meanwhile, President Biden looks to shore up the Affordable Care Act with some help from a friend.
