Jared Allen

• Counsel to a national telecommunications provider in multidistrict litigation stemming from data security incident.
• Counsel to a major health insurer in suit by hospital system to recover alleged underpayments for certain services provided to members.
• Represented a health care corporation in class action litigation relating to an alleged employee information breach.
• Advised an IT company related to an internal investigation into potential insider trading.
• Represented a nationwide chain of eye care providers in litigation based on alleged breach of customer data which was resolved favorably for the defendant provider.

Jared Allen focuses his practice on complex commercial, class action, and multidistrict litigation defense, with an emphasis on cybersecurity and data privacy litigation. He represents companies across industries, including telecommunication, information technology, health care, and insurance. Jared is a proactive team member with experience in all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, and mediation. In addition, Jared has significant experience enforcing arbitration and alternative dispute resolution clauses in consumer class actions.

Before joining the firm, Jared served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. R. Stan Baker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, and as a judicial intern for the Hon. Julie E. Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Jared earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While there, he served on the Appellate Litigation Clinic and the board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He also participated on the   moot court team, where he was a finalist in the 2021 Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship, and was inducted into the Order of Barristers.
