Jared Allen is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group.
Before joining the firm, Jared served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. R. Stan Baker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, and as a judicial intern for both the Hon. Julie E. Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Diane E. Bessen of Fulton County State Court.
Jared earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While there, he served on the moot court team and was a member of the board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Jared was a finalist in the 2021 Hunton Andrews Kurth Moot Court National Championship and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Jared also gained experience on the Appellate Litigation Clinic, participating on a team which successfully appealed to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals the Board of Immigration’s decision to deport an indigent client to his home country.
Jared earned his B.A., with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Spanish and international relations and minored in Latin American studies and history. Before attending law school, Jared worked as a professional musician and Spanish tutor.
