Sean Anderson focuses his practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation, representing clients at all stages of complex matters—from counseling to pre-dispute investigations and from discovery through trials and appeals. Sean’s work frequently involves claims dealing with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, online content platforms, licensing disputes, and emerging technology such as artificial intelligence and digital assets.
Over the last decade, Sean has developed extensive experience in cutting-edge intellectual property disputes that are redefining the legal landscape. In representing both emerging and established companies, Sean brings his passion for the law and his clients’ businesses to efficiently achieve solutions to complicated disputes.
Before entering private practice, Sean gained government and judicial experience through internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (Civil and Criminal Divisions), the Hon. George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Enforcement Division. Before law school, Sean spent six years working in contemporary art galleries in New York, an experience that continues to inform his understanding of creators’ rights, licensing, and the intersection of art, commerce, and intellectual property.
