James Atkison is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Before joining the firm, James worked at a global firm as a patent agent, where he prepared appeal briefs, responded to office actions from the USTPO, conducted FTO analysis, and various other complex patent and trademark matters.
James earned his J.D., with honors, from the Emory University School of Law, where he was a member of the Intellectual Property Society, director of education and academics of the Mock Trial Society, and treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta. James earned his Ph.D. in biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina. He earned his B.S. from the University of Miami in biomedical engineering.
