• Represented a leading commercial real estate investor in the acquisition and financing of several prominent first-class office buildings in the Southeast, such as the Bank of America Plaza building and Buckhead Centre in Atlanta.
• Represented a leading retail investor in the $77 million sale of a retail mall complex in Vermont.
• Represented a developer in the $228 million sale of a portfolio of self-storage facilities located across the United States.
• Represented a private real estate lender in the $127.5 million financing of two high rise apartment buildings in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the subsequent sale of such loan to a third party lender.

Julia Bahms is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Group. She represents private equity funds, institutional investors, REITs, and family offices in the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial, mixed use, and residential properties.

Julia received her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and received her B.A. in political science from Florida Gulf Coast University.
