Juan Bernal

• Counsel to an international commodity hedge fund sponsor on various securities laws and compliance matters.
• Counsel to a multi-strategy hedge fund sponsor on various fund and special purpose vehicle launches.
• Counsel to various closed-end funds treated as business development companies under The Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Advised the real estate investment subsidiary of one of the United States’ largest privately held companies on its investment into a newly formed real estate venture capital fund.

Juan Bernal is an associate in the Investment Funds Group. He represents private and registered funds and other financial institutions in a range of transactional and regulatory matters, including general corporate governance and federal and state securities registration.

Before joining the firm, Juan interned for the Hon. Jason E. Ashford, state court judge for Houston County, GA, as a member of the inaugural class of the Georgia Latino Law Foundation’s Virtual Judicial Internship Program.
