Christopher Borchert focuses his practice on high-stakes commercial litigation and white-collar matters. Chris has significant experience representing clients in the financial services, health care, pharmaceutical, and technology industries, particularly in corporate and commercial disputes; securities, shareholder, and derivative litigation; corporate control and M&A litigation; and real estate litigation. Chris also frequently represents corporate and individual clients in criminal and civil investigations by the Department of Justice, as well as regulatory investigations and enforcement actions by the SEC and other federal and state agencies.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Chris completed a two-year clerkship with the Hon. Esther Salas, U.S. District Judge for the District of New Jersey. He also served on the Connecticut Moot Court Board at UConn Law and was selected as the student commencement speaker for his graduating class.
Chris also enjoys volunteering as a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
