• Represented an airline founder in a multimillion-dollar arbitration proceeding in connection with a shareholders’ agreement.
• Represented an energy solutions company in an ICSID annulment proceeding brought by Spain relating to changes in the Spanish regulatory framework affecting the company’s investment in solar power plants.
• Represented the Republic of Cyprus in its successful defense of claims arising out of the Eurozone financial crisis under the Cyprus-Greece bilateral investment treaty.
• Represented a multinational logistics company in a bilateral investment treaty claim against the Kingdom of Belgium concerning concession rights in the port of Antwerp.

Pro Bono

• Authored a report on the legal rights of women and girl asylum seekers in the European Union for United Nations Women.

Sophia Bouygues focuses her practice on commercial and investment arbitration. Before joining the firm, Sophia worked at an international law firm, where she gained experience in complex cross-border disputes. She has represented clients under the London Court of International Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce, International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law rules.
