- Represented three investment banks in advising, negotiating, and structuring three separate master repurchase facilities for Ginnie Mae early buyout loans, with facility sizes aggregating to $4.78 billion.

Andrew Burton is a senior associate with Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Group. He is a practical attorney and dealmaker who represents developers and investors across the gamut of real estate transactions—from term sheets and joint ventures, to entity formation, purchase and sale agreements, financings, and leasing. Andrew has years of structured finance experience, focusing on securitizations and warehouse facilities, which gives him a deep understanding of the entire universe of real estate finance. Andrew also has experience in entertainment law, trademarks, and international environmental law.
As an advocate for others, Andrew serves on the board of the Adaptive Training Foundation, a Dallas non-profit that empowers individuals with physical disabilities and traumas to transform their lives through exercise and community.
Andrew received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. He received a B.A. in business from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.

Alston & Bird advised Stockbridge Core and Value Advisors, a private equity institutional real estate investment adviser, on the formation of Stockbridge Value Fund V, the fifth fund in their Value Fund series. The fund closed with total committed capital of $709 million, bringing Stockbridge’s assets under management to approximately $34 billion. Value Fund V is capitalized by a multinational group of institutional investors including pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, university endowments and insurance companies.
