- Represented a creditor seeking the recovery of a judgment sounding in fraud that was obtained after losses arising out of the debtor’s Illinois-based Ponzi scheme.
- Represented a large, specialized contractor in its strategic acquisition of a regional underground utility installation company.
- Represented a judgment-creditor seeking attorneys’ fees under the Eleventh Circuit’s Hercules rule following arbitration but subsequent refusal of the losing party to pay the arbitration award once confirmed by the district court.
- Represented a plaintiff (previously a debtor in bankruptcy) seeking damages for willful misrepresentation and other related tort offenses after the failure of a critical product that led to the shuttering of the plaintiff’s business; upon briefing of motions to exclude expert witnesses and for summary judgment, the case was settled to the plaintiff’s satisfaction in mediation.
- Achieved a prompt settlement of a matter in a commercial client’s favor that involved the failed delivery of expensive equipment in a supply of goods case governed by the Uniform Commercial Code.
