Peter Cornick is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group with experience in commercial litigation in a variety of industries. Before joining Alston & Bird, Peter served as a law clerk to the Hon. Thomas W. Thrash, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Peter received his J.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While at Vanderbilt, he was awarded the John A. Cortner Championship Award in the school’s Intramural Moot Court Competition and served as an articles editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review.
Before law school, Peter was the operations director for the congressional campaign of a current U.S. Senator and an associate product manager at a financial services technology company. He earned his A.B. in history and science, cum laude, from Harvard College.
