- Defending a chemical manufacturer in multi-district litigation concerning alleged PFAS contamination of drinking water.
- Defending a medical products sterilization company in lawsuits alleging personal injuries from alleged exposure to ethylene oxide.
- Counseling clients from various industries including food service, retail, and manufacturing on extended producer responsibility (EPR) legislative and regulatory obligations concerning packaging, food serviceware, textiles, and print materials.
- Advising clients on compliance with California’s climate disclosure laws, the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253), and the Climate-Related Financial Risk Act (SB 261).
- Conducted environmental due diligence in a specialized equipment manufacturer’s $245-million asset purchase of a material processing equipment manufacturer.
- Representing an interstate pipeline company in multiforum litigation and permitting proceedings relating to its pipeline project.
- Counseled a home construction product manufacturer in responding to an information collection request from the EPA regarding chromium finishing operations and PFAS.
- Defended an electric utility company in lawsuit alleging personal injuries and property damages arising from alleged groundwater and surface water discharges and air emissions. Constituents of concern included hexavalent chromium, uranium, radium, and radon.
- Represented a Los Angeles-area refinery in a challenge under the California Environmental Quality Act to the conversion of an existing crude oil refinery into a renewable fuels facility.
- Conducted internal investigations for a major retailer relating to potential corruption issues in Latin America.
- Second chair in a commercial litigation trial, which, after the post-trial briefing, resulted in full declaratory and injunctive relief and was affirmed on appeal.

Andrea Galvez represents clients in general litigation and toxic tort litigation matters in federal and state courts and counsels clients on a range of regulatory compliance matters. She advises clients on issues involving PFAS, extended producer responsibility (EPR) state programs, climate disclosure requirements, and contamination concerns. Andrea has experience tracking and analyzing legal developments on the federal, state, and local levels related to PFAS and ESG laws. She also conducts environmental due diligence in both buyer- and seller-side transactions. Andrea serves on the firm’s Associates Committee.
Andrea maintains an active immigration pro bono practice, having represented multiple clients in applications for affirmative immigration relief. She serves on the Emerging Leaders Council for the nonprofit organization Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network.
Andrea received her J.D., with high honors and induction into the Order of the Coif, from the Emory University School of Law. During law school, she served as a legal extern for Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren of the Georgia Supreme Court and the Hon. Timothy C. Batten, Sr. of the Northern District of Georgia.
