Andrea Galvez is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Andrea served as a legal extern for Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren of the Georgia Supreme Court and the Hon. Timothy C. Batten, Sr. of the Northern District of Georgia. She has also served as a research assistant at Emory University School of Law and as an immigration paralegal.
Andrea received her J.D. with high honors from Emory University School of Law where she was the executive online editor for the Emory Law Journal and the vice president of communications for the Emory Latin American Law Students Association. She graduated in the top 5 percent of her class. While in law school, she was awarded the Myron Penn Laughlin Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing and the State Bar of Georgia Employment Law Section Award for Outstanding Achievement in Employment Law.
Andrea received her M.A. in Latin American studies from Vanderbilt University and her A.B., magna cum laude, in Romance languages & literatures from Harvard College. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
