Lisa Garcia is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Lisa focuses her practice on complex business litigation, internal corporate investigations, contract disputes, and franchise litigation. She has litigated a wide variety of disputes in state and federal courts, including matters involving general business concerns, contract disputes, unfair competition and false advertising, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, unfair debt collection issues, commercial leasing disputes, and franchise matters.

Lisa also handles all types of employment cases, including single-plaintiff and class action suits involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment matters in both state and federal courts and in administrative hearings and conferences. She also provides advice and counseling to employers on a wide range of employment issues. Lisa is recognized by The Best Lawyers of America^© “Ones to Watch” for Commercial Litigation.

Lisa received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, she was senior technology editor of the Hastings Law Journal. She held a judicial externship at the California Court of Appeal for the Sixth District in San Jose during law school. Lisa received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.
