Esmat Hanano focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and appellate matters across a range of industries, including health care, pharmaceuticals, retail, and technology. Before joining the firm, Esmat served as a law clerk to the Hon. Veronica S. Rossman on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, as well as to the Hon. Clifton L. Corker on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Esmat also worked as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Esmat represents clients facing antitrust claims, multidistrict litigation, class actions, and data breach incidents, and helps them deploy complex legal strategies to resolve the challenges they encounter.
Esmat earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While attending the College of Law, Esmat also served as executive editor of the Georgia State University Law Review and was a member of the Georgia State Moot Court team. He received his B.A in philosophy from American University.
