Katherine “Kate” E. Hewitt focuses her practice on corporate debt finance transactions, representing borrowers, lenders, and corporate clients in a variety of secured financing arrangements. Her experience includes fund formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisition financing, and other complex transactions across a range of industries, including digital infrastructure, technology, and industrial services.
Kate regularly assists clients with drafting and negotiating financing documents, conducting due diligence, managing collateral and closing deliverables, and coordinating all aspects of transaction execution.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Kate was a judicial intern for the Hon. Frank D. Whitney in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. She was also a legal extern for The Coca-Cola Company.
Kate earned her J.D. with honors from the Emory University School of Law, where she participated in Emory Moot Court Society and served as a research assistant.
