• Representing Deutsche Bank in the 2023 High Court directions application by the administrators of Lehman Brothers Holdings PLC, the subsequent appeal of the court’s decision, and the October 2024 settlement of those proceedings.
• Advising the trustee and receivers in the enforcement and subsequent sale of the collateral of pre -financial crisis collateralized debt obligation.
• Advising the administrators in relation to the pre-packaged administration sale of a digital asset custody business.
• Advising insolvency practitioners regarding numerous administrations, special administration, and receivership appointments.
• Advising credit funds in special situation lending and acquisition transactions.
• Advising the boards of various English companies in connection with potential insolvency.

Luke Hiller-Addis focuses his practice on distressed transactions, cross-border financial restructurings, and general insolvency matters. Luke represents a range of clients including creditors, debtors, insolvency practitioners, and investors. Luke has experience acting in relation to each of the main English law restructuring and insolvency processes, as well as numerous overseas processes.
