Laura Hunt is an associate in the Litigation & Trial Practice Group. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing entities and managers in contract, warranty, trade secret misappropriation, and employment disputes, and oil and gas clients in lease termination, royalty litigation, and trespass to try title suits.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Laura served as a law clerk for the Hon. David S. Morales in the Southern District of Texas Corpus Christi Division. She worked on cases involving employment discrimination, ERISA claims, civil rights violations, class actions, insurance disputes, and criminal law. Laura also served as a judicial intern to Hon. Thomas B. Griffith, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Laura earned her J.D., cum laude, from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she served as an associate editor for the BYU Law Review and was president of the Government & Politics Legal Society. Laura received her B.A. in political science from Montana State University – Billings.
