• Defeated multiple preliminary injunction motions for a Fortune 500 payment processing company, arising out of alleged breaches of contract and business torts after expedited evidentiary hearings.
• Representing a Fortune 500 fintech company in complex breach of contract action challenging client’s post-acquisition earnout calculation and operation of acquired business.
• Representing a leading generic pharmaceutical manufacturer in a Lanham Act case against a competitor arising out of a false advertising campaign.
• Secured the appointment of a receiver to take over management of a California-based media and entertainment company after a multiday evidentiary hearing in a case involving allegations of breaches of contract, fraud, and RICO.
• Trial counsel to a major national airline in litigation against a leading international travel agency related to a multinational currency arbitrage scheme.
• Negotiated a favorable settlement for a leading health care insurer in arbitration against a health care provider for a breach of contract to recover overpayments to the provider, after obtaining complete dismissal of the health care provider’s counterclaims and obtaining partial summary judgment in client’s favor.
• Obtained a complete defense judgment in favor of a payment technology solutions company in arbitration brought by a former customer concerning a data breach.
• Obtained summary judgment in favor of a utility company in a putative class action regarding the calculation of surcharges relating to ongoing construction of the country’s only active nuclear power plant construction project.
• Obtained emergency injunctive relief on behalf of a Grammy Award-winning musician to enjoin breaches of confidentiality agreement by the client’s former business partner.
• Represented a large national restaurant chain in defense of a putative class action case alleging violations of the Unfair Competition Law, California Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and False Advertising Law arising out of menu pricing for delivery orders.

Chris Kelleher is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Chris has experience counseling and representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels, representing clients in a broad array of industries, with a particular focus on the health care, manufacturing, payment processing, and transportation fields.

Chris received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Chris represented indigent defendants in appellate matters as part of the Appellate Litigation Clinic, where he argued a prisoners’ rights case before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Chris was also awarded the 2019 Ronald L. Carlson Award for Excellence in the Study of Evidence.
