Ashley P. Kennedy

• Represented a mortgage servicer in the restructuring of a master trust structure for the financing of Ginnie Mae MSRs and servicing advances, which involved the issuance of $3 billion of variable funding notes backed by excess servicing spread, Ginnie Mae MSRs, P&I advances, and servicing advances.
• Representing financial institutions and borrowers in warehouse transactions for the financing of various mortgage loan products, including restructurings of the same.
• Counsel to Credit Suisse’s Securitized Products business while on secondment.
• Represented financial institutions in the purchase and sale of par and distressed assets in the primary and secondary markets, including bankruptcy claims, syndicated bank loans, and DIP financings.
• Represented creditors, including landlords and financial institutions, in bankruptcy proceedings.

Ashley Kennedy is a senior associate with the Structured & Warehouse Finance Team. She works with issuers, underwriters, sellers, investment banks, and servicers in connection with mortgage-backed and asset-backed securitizations and the purchase, sale, servicing, warehousing, and financing of mortgage loans, mortgage servicing rights, and other financial assets. Ashley received recognition in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch^®.

Ashley earned her J.D. from New York Law School, with a concentration in business and finance law, and was published in the Journal of Taxation and Regulation of Financial Institutions. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Hofstra University, with a psychology major, creative writing minor, and high departmental honors for her thesis study.
