Jyoti Jindal Kottamasu is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. She concentrates her practice on class action and multidistrict litigation and complex commercial disputes. Before joining the firm, Jyoti was an associate at a litigation firm in Washington, D.C., where she represented clients in state and federal courts across the country, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Jyoti previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Jyoti earned her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the Duke University School of Law. While in law school, she served as the editor-in-chief of the Duke Law Journal and earned the Advocacy Award for her clinical work. Jyoti earned her B.A., with distinction, in art history and biology from the University of Virginia.
