• Enforcing judgment for false claims against private labs on behalf of a national health care insurer.
• Defended a national health care distributor in federal multidistrict litigation and parallel state cases brought by state attorneys general and municipality plaintiffs in California, Maryland, Vermont, Washington, Ohio, and West Virginia.
• Obtained favorable settlements for health care providers and technology companies in federal and state investigations involving the False Claims Act and similar state laws.
• Defended a health care provider in multiple state and federal class actions alleging privacy violations based on the collection of patient data.
• Defended a health care business-processes provider against claims involving breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation in AAA arbitration and appeal that involved a three-week arbitration hearing.

Jyoti Jindal Kottamasu concentrates her practice on complex disputes involving insurance and health care companies. Jyoti has a strong track record defending clients in bet-the-company cases, including leading national and multinational property & casualty insurers and health care insurers.

Jyoti combines her science background and her experience defending Fortune 500 companies in class actions, multidistrict litigation, mass actions, and parallel actions to quickly master highly technical issues and provide her clients with evidence-based litigation strategies and arguments that will resonate across audiences. Jyoti previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Jyoti graduated from the Duke University School of Law, with top 5% honors, magna cum laude, and Order of the Coif. In law school, she served as the editor in chief of the Duke Law Journal and earned the Advocacy Award for her clinical work. Jyoti earned her B.A., with distinction, in biology and art history from the University of Virginia.
