- Defending a large national P&C insurer in high-exposure bad-faith mass actions and putative class actions, focusing on challenges to the alleged disclosure of consumer and insured information to Verisk/ISO and LexisNexis.
- Prosecuting trademark infringement claims on behalf of a P&C insurer to protect the insurer and public from counterfeit insurance policies.
- Enforcing judgment for false claims against private labs on behalf of a national health care insurer.

Jyoti Jindal Kottamasu concentrates her practice on complex disputes involving insurance and health care companies. Jyoti has a strong track record defending clients in bet-the-company cases, including leading national and multinational property & casualty insurers and health care insurers.
Jyoti combines her science background and her experience defending Fortune 500 companies in class actions, multidistrict litigation, mass actions, and parallel actions to quickly master highly technical issues and provide her clients with evidence-based litigation strategies and arguments that will resonate across audiences. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, including dispositive motions, electronic discovery management, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, and trial advocacy.
Jyoti previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Jyoti earned her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law, graduating with top 5% honors, magna cum laude, and Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as the editor in chief of the Duke Law Journal and earned the Advocacy Award for her clinical work. Jyoti earned her B.A., with distinction, in biology and art history from the University of Virginia.
