Robert Lorentzen represents lenders, borrowers, issuers, originators, and other market participants in complex structured financing and securitization transactions across a broad spectrum of asset classes.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Robert was a senior associate at a multinational professional services firm, where he led external IT audit engagements to evaluate the internal IT controls and system architecture of domestic and multinational clients operating in a variety of industries. Robert also interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he advised the Office of the Chief Information Officer on privacy and IT use policy, and at the U.S. Tax Court for the Hon. Emin Toro, where he assisted in the adjudication process for tax controversies.
Robert earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as the staff editor for the Journal of National Security Law & Policy. Robert earned his bachelor of arts in business administration: finance & information systems from the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business.
