Anne J. Martin

• Obtained complete dismissal of a $100 million civil action against a collateralized debt obligation (CDO) trustee alleging breach of duties under the indenture and other governing documents (S.D.N.Y.).
• Represented a nationwide bank in its capacity as a CDO trustee in a one-week trial involving contractual and equitable claims brought against the collateral manager and affiliated parties (S.D.N.Y.).
• Counsel to a national mortgage company during a DOJ investigation and False Claims Act litigation.
• Obtained complete dismissal of a multibillion-dollar fraud suit against an international financial services institution.
• Counsel for a broad range of companies during investigations by the DOJ, CFPB, and FTC.
• Pro bono counsel in multiple criminal appeals in the Maryland Supreme Court.

Anne Martin is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Anne was a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division. She was also a law clerk at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. Anne worked closely with the assistant attorneys general, assisting with case investigation and trial preparation to prosecute complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-defendant cases in organized crime.

Anne graduated with her J.D. from The George Washington University, where she served as a student attorney in the Criminal Appeals and Post-Conviction Services Clinic, representing clients in their appeals before the Maryland Supreme Court. Before attending law school, Anne worked for the Oregon Department of Human Services as a child protective services worker.
