Omar Morquecho is an associate with Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Omar served as an extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, researching complex legal questions in criminal matters. He also worked closely with deputy district attorneys in the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, organizing key evidence for preliminary hearings and trials.
Omar received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Loyola Marymount University Law School, where he was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif and named as a Sayre MacNeil Scholar. During law school, Omar was a technical editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, vice president of tutoring and mentoring of the St. Thomas More Honor Society, and the admission and retention co-chair of La Raza de Loyola. Omar also earned first honor awards for the highest grade in contracts, law of sales, business associations, and evidence.
