Omar Morquecho

• Second chair trial attorney on behalf of a national moving equipment and storage company in California state court.
• Representing companies defend against putative class actions and individual claims alleging violations of the California Invasion of Privacy Act and the Video Privacy Protection Act.
• Defending a leading wireless service provider in class actions and in mass arbitrations over data breach claims and claims brought under California privacy laws.

• Second-chairing an arbitration hearing on behalf of a telecommunications company arising out of a data breach.
• Represented the largest U.S. retail corporation in defending the company against dozens of pre-litigation claims and civil actions involving alleged exposures to heavy metals, bisphenol-A (BPA), phthalates, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and other Proposition 65-listed chemicals.

Omar Morquecho focuses his practice on defending companies in class actions, privacy claims, products liability, and other complex litigation disputes, including multidistrict and mass arbitration proceedings. He has defended putative class actions in a wide variety of forums, including both state and federal courts, involving claims under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Law.

Omar’s clients include industry leaders in logistics, pharmaceutical, retail, and restaurants. He provides security, privacy, and compliance counseling to clients primarily in the telecommunications industry. Before joining the firm, Omar served as an extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, researching complex legal questions in criminal matters.

Omar maintains an active pro bono practice, doing work on behalf of tenants in landlord-tenant disputes and related litigation with the Inner City Law Center.
