Allie Oelhafen focuses her practice on mass tort products liability and class action litigation primarily involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She has been a part of national trial teams and national science teams in nationwide class actions and multidistrict litigation. In those cases, she has been responsible for the coordination of joint defense strategies; supervision of local, regional, and national counsel; management of discovery; and development of scientific and medical expert witnesses for use at trial and at Daubert hearings.
Allie originally joined Alston & Bird in 1999 and became a partner in 2002 in the firm’s Products Liability Group defending clients in mass tort and class action litigation, specifically in drug, medical device, and wireless phone litigation. Allie left Alston & Bird in 2006 following a relocation to Virginia, where she worked for several years in-house at a large, international packaging company managing national environmental and asbestos litigation. Allie rejoined Alston & Bird in 2017.
