Trevor O’Hara

• Represented a financial institution as the special servicer in the assumption and modification of a $250 million CMBS loan, including the addition of preferred equity, secured by an office building in Jersey City, NJ.
• Represented a financial institution as the special servicer in the workout of a debt stack of over $1 billion secured by an office building in New York City.
• Represented an institutional lender in the origination of a $45 million CMBS loan secured by a hotel, subjected to a horizontal condominium regime, in Annapolis, MD.
• Represented a financial institution in the origination of a mortgage loan secured by a 2 two-property portfolio, with each property being single-tenanted and subjected to a ground lease.
• Represented two institutional lenders, as co-lenders, in the origination of a $60 million CMBS loan secured by a multi-amenity resort on the Lake of the Ozarks.
• Represented a financial institution in the origination of a CMBS loan secured by a hotel, subjected to a ground lease, in Blacksburg, VA.
• Represented an institutional lender in the origination of a mortgage loan secured by a multi-family housing complex in Macon, GA that was acquired by the borrower via a reverse 1031 exchange.

Trevor O’Hara is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Group. He represents commercial lenders in the origination of both mortgage and mezzanine loans. He also represents CMBS and CRE CLO servicers and special servicers on loan assumptions, restructurings and workouts, and leasing.

Trevor has experience both in originating and servicing loans secured by various complex collateral structures, such as hotel franchises, fractured condominiums, ground leases, multistate portfolios, and 1031 exchanges.

Trevor received his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He received a B.A. in political science from The Ohio State University.
