Jake Porath is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Group. He focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate finance, including the origination of CMBS loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, and short-term bridge loans secured by transitional assets.
Jake received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where he was awarded with membership into the Order of the Coif. He was the symposium editor of the Pepperdine Law Review, received the Sorenson Award for the most outstanding law review article, and served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Jennifer A. Dorsey and the Hon. Andrew P. Gordon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. He received his B.A. in political science and history, with a concentration in leadership studies from Williams College.
Before law school, Jake worked as a financial analyst for a leading residential real estate investor.
