Christopher M. Poteat, Ph.D.

• Member of a team tasked to initiate peptide and non-natural amino acid development.
• Created the Carbon-14 radiolabeling synthesis program.
• Designed and executed multistep synthetic processes up to multi-kilogram scale, ensuring high yields and product quality for pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
• Led cross-functional teams to successfully transfer research and development processes to cGMP manufacturing.

Dr. Chris Poteat brings experience and knowledge to assist clients in understanding complex technologies in small molecule pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Before starting his career as a patent specialist, Chris was a senior process chemist with a leading global pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organization.

Chris earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from North Carolina State University where he developed new synthetic methodologies and was honored with the “Percy L. Julian Award” for excellence in research. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington with an M.S. and a B.S. in chemistry
