Leigh Shapiro is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Leigh served as a law clerk for the Hon. Michael L. Brown on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Leigh also served as an extern for the Hon. William M. Ray of the Court of Appeals of Georgia and for the Hon. Timothy C. Batten on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Leigh earned her J.D. from Emory University, where she graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. At Emory, Leigh received the Pat Butler Scholarship and was a managing editor for the Emory Law Journal.
Before law school, Leigh earned her B.A. in political science and psychology, summa cum laude, from Tulane University.
