• Representing a military defense contractor in its enforcement of a significant arbitration award against the State of Libya.
• Representing an Irish issuer of bonds in ongoing High Court proceedings, turning on the payment of a €250 million premium, allegedly due on repayment of the bonds.
• Representing an investment arm of the largest commercial bank in Saudi Arabia in High Court proceedings, arising from the widely reported collapse of the NMC Health Group in Abu Dhabi.
• Represented a bank in relation to a c. £670 million claim brought by an insurance company in respect of losses caused by PPI.
• Represented a CIS businessman and other claimants in proceedings related to the alleged unlawful misappropriation of several hundred million dollars.
• Represented a software company in relation to a c. £90 million claim against a large multinational grocery retailer.

Conor Shevlin is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group and focuses his practice on complex commercial and financial services litigation and arbitration, advising major corporate entities, investment banks, hedge funds, private equity houses, and other financial institutions on a range of high-stakes contentious matters.
