David Woodlief focuses his practice on handling commercial litigation matters. Before joining the firm, David served as a law clerk to the Hon. Richard Dietz of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. He also worked as a legal extern in the North Carolina Department of Justice, with the Office of the Solicitor General.
David earned his J.D., with high honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as an articles editor for the First Amendment Law Review and as a member of the Holderness Moot Court Appellate Advocacy team. Before law school, David received a B.A., with highest distinction, in political science and economics with a minor in religious studies from the University of North Carolina, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
