Jacob W. Young focuses his practice on patent litigation and has experience with medical device, telecommunication, and cellular technology related matters and litigations.
Jacob previously clerked for the Hon. Jeremy D. Kernodle in the Eastern District of Texas, where he worked on a multitude of cases, gaining a strong understanding of various stages of litigation. He also interned for the Hon. Sean D. Jordan in the Eastern District of Texas and for the Hon. Alan D Albright in the Western District of Texas.
Jacob received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and was an associate managing editor of the SMU Law Review Association. Jacob was also a student attorney in the SMU First Amendment Clinic, a Tsai Scholar for the Tsai Center of Law, Science, and Innovation, and the president of the Intellectual Property Organization. He received his B.S. in chemistry, with a minor in biochemistry, from the College of William and Mary.
