Rob Stone presented, "The Medicare Ace Project Demonstration," March 25, 8:15am - 9:45am, at this conference hosted by the American Health Lawyers Association. The presentation covered the following topics.
- The ACE Demonstration Project, including the basic principles and procedures involved in bundling of physician and hospital reimbursement from the perspective of both providers and CMS.
- Legal and regulatory issues involved in the demonstration project, as well as potential issues should bundled payments expand beyond the demonstration.
- Thoughts about the future of the project and bundled payments in general as a potential cost-saving strategy.
