Meaghan Boyd was a member of the Planning Committee for the ABA Section of Litigation’s first CLE of 2013. The conference was held January 31- February 2 in Steamboat, Colorado and provided a unique opportunity to interact with and hear from in-house and trial counsel, experts, government enforcement officials, and members of the judiciary as they addressed litigation issues and techniques related to Environmental, Mass Torts, and Products Liability practices.
Maureen Gorsen was a panelist for the plenary session on “Supply Chain Regulation and Litigation in the United States.” Also, Sarah Babcock, who co-chairs the Young Lawyers Subcommittee of the Environmental Litigation Committee, participated in a “Ethics in Marketing 101” panel. Other speakers included in-house counsel from BP, Chevron, Kellogg Company, Kimberly Clark, Waste Management, and WPX Energy. Also, Steve Black, who serves as Counselor to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior, and John Cruden, who is President of The Environmental Law Institute, presented.
