Peter Swire was the featured speaker during this program hosted by the Commission for the Protection of Privacy (CPP).
The Privacy Commission is aware of the fact that the judgment of October 6, 2015, has raised numerous questions and therefore wants to provide answers and allay concerns of the stakeholders.
The afternoon was divided into three different panel discussions. The first panel focused on the establishment and the evolution of the Safe Harbor agreement. In the second panel, companies had the opportunity to explain the problems they are confronted with, and in the third and last panel a presentation was given on U.S. law regarding data protection v. European law. At the end of each panel, it was possible to exchange ideas and to ask questions related to that matter.
