Andy Tuck was a featured moderator in the session “There’s Something About Arbitration” at the 6th ICC YAF Global Conference. In the session, participants broke out into small working groups monitored by featured moderators to engage in mini-debates on questions involving the boundaries of pre-interviews with arbitrators, exceptions to the doctrine of functus officio, obligations of arbitrators to limit double recovery in arbitrations with same damages, the tradeoffs between transparency and confidentiality in international arbitration, the clash between “bifurcate or not to bifurcate,” the pros and cons of expedited proceedings, and dispositive motions in arbitration.
