Mitch Mitchelson is co-chair of this program sponsored by the ABA Criminal Justice Section. Mitch will also be moderating the panel “The Yates Memorandum Turns Two Years Old: The Impact of Enforcement on Criminal and Civil Cases and Corporate Behavior.”
The “Individual Accountability Policy” announced by former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is now two years old. This panel will analyze how the policy has helped and hindered the enforcement of federal criminal law and efforts to combat fraud under the FCA. Also, the panel will look at the Yates memorandum in application in the compliance arena and in internal investigations and how the policy impacts day-to-day compliance program development and implementation.
