Cathy Burgess will be speaking at the FDLI Annual Conference: Exploring Advanced Topics in Food and Drug Law. The conference will feature an array of experts from the federal government, industry, the private bar, non-profits, patient and consumer advocates, and academia to address the complex issues currently impacting all facets of FDA-regulated industry.
Cathy will be presenting in the session “FDA Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs): Authorities, Enforcement Discretion Policies, and What Happens Next,” which will consider the FDA’s use of EUAs during the COVID-19 pandemic, limitations on FDA authority, and what happens to products that received EUAs after the emergency designations are lifted.
