Deona Kalala will moderate the session “Antitrust and Antiracism: What Lies Ahead” on March 24. In this session, panelists, including the Hon. Bernice Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, will reflect on how the concepts of racial equity and social justice influence current and future legal doctrines, enforcement decisions, and the markets antitrust law protects.

Peter Swire will speak at the session “Europe and Schrems II: What’s Next?” on March 24. This session will discuss how companies can manage the shifting terrain of cross-border data transfers, including using standard contractual clauses and binding corporate rules, to facilitate business between EU and non-EU countries.  Other speakers on the panel include the chief privacy counsel of American Express and a senior data official with the European Commission.

Adam Biegel will moderate the panel “Hot Topics” on March 25 with the global head of competition policy at Facebook. Panelists will include the head of the Directorate General of Competition in the EU, the Attorney General of Colorado, and the chief legal officer of Uber, who will discuss the hottest antitrust and consumer protection issues of the past year and what they see coming in the year ahead.
