Donald Houser will present on the panel “Seven Wonders of the Class Action World: The Supreme Court is Changing the Landscape.” The U.S. Supreme Court has been exceptionally interested in class actions of the past several years. Learn about the Court’s rationale for its recent pronouncements regarding standing, tolling, the analysis required to certify a class action, and what it means for common issues to predominate.
Jeff Rosenfeld will present on the panel “How to Effectively and Ethically Prepare, Present, and Defend Your Witnesses During COVID-19 Times.” This program will explore the challenges in remotely preparing, presenting, and defending lay and expert witnesses, and offer practical suggestions to effectively elicit useful testimony from your witnesses and opposing witnesses.
Yuri Mikulka will present on the panel “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: How to Move from Social Responsibility to Social Justice.” Moderated by an esteemed judge, this discussion explores strategies and provides practical advice to move beyond aspirational goals and into implementation of concrete diversity, equity, and inclusion measures.
