Brian Lee will speak at this conference hosted by the American Health Law Association (AHLA). The session is titled “Oversight of the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund” and will cover:
- The distribution of the $178 billion Provider Relief Fund
- The internal controls that were in-place prior to payments being distributed
- The current and future activities to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the program
- Best practices for recipients within the reporting and auditing processes
The Institute on Medicare and Medicaid Payment Issues covers legal and regulatory issues related to reimbursement. Knowing the Medicare and Medicaid laws, regulations, and guidance is not enough to advise clients properly; it is imperative to understand how these various authorities are being implemented.
