Alston & Bird Advises Lightower Fiber Networks in $2 Billion Deal

An Alston & Bird team led by Bryan Ives, and partners Andy Immerman and Paul Cushing, and associates William Snyder and Russell Hilton, advised Lightower in connection with its acquisition by Berkshire Partners LLC. The transaction, valued at more than $2 billion, will combine Lightower’s fiber-optic networks and those of Sidera Networks, resulting in more than 20,000 fiber route miles and access to more than 6,000 commercial buildings, data centers, financial exchanges, content hubs, wireless towers, and other critical interconnection facilities.

The new company will be run by Lightower Chief Executive Officer Rob Shanahan, according to a statement.
