Attorneys from the firm’s Environmental & Land Use and Litigation & Trial Practice Groups successfully represented Water Replenishment District (WRD) in the California Court of Appeal, reversing the trial court’s denial of its application for a preliminary injunction.
The court of appeal directed the trial court to issue the requested injunction against the firm’s opponents, ordering delinquent cities to pay their fair share of the groundwater rate assessment.
"This is a huge win for WRD ratepayers and the residents of these cities," WRD board president Robert Katherman said. "Residents can rest assured that when they pay their water bills, that money is going to pay for clean, reliable water and for ensuring that the region's long- term water needs are met."
