Midtown Assistance Center Honors Alex Brown with Leadership Award

Alston & Bird senior associate Alex Brown has been honored by Atlanta’s Midtown Assistance Center (MAC) with its 9th Annual Joseph S. Horsley Award for Leadership and Service.

Brown joined MAC’s board in 2012 and is currently vice president. A dedicated leader, he works enthusiastically and tirelessly to support MAC in its ongoing fight against hunger and homelessness. As part of his leadership, he championed the effort to establish the annual Midtown Race for the MAC 5K fundraising race/walk, a premiere event now in its third year in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.

A member of Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, Brown is a commercial litigator whose practice includes intellectual property, antitrust, and privacy-related matters. He represents clients in state and federal court, international arbitration and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Founded in 1986, MAC is a non-profit, interfaith organization whose mission is to provide emergency assistance to the working poor to help prevent homelessness and hunger during periods of crisis.
