Alston & Bird has strengthened its Real Estate Finance & Investment Group with the addition of partner Stephen D. Peterson in Atlanta. Peterson brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients on commercial real estate capital raises, development, and finance.

Kathy Huang, partner in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, and Pam Privett, partner in the firm’s Real Estate Finance & Investment Group, have been named among the most influential minority attorneys in Los Angeles.

Alston & Bird advised Variant Equity Advisors in connection with the financing of its $271.4 million acquisition of the North American operations of Stagecoach Group plc, consisting of Coach USA, Megabus Canada, and all North American subsidiaries.

Alston & Bird has expanded its real estate capabilities with the addition of Amie Benedetto as counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Finance & Investment Group. Based in Atlanta, she joins from Proprium Capital Partners, a privately held real estate investment group, where she was senior counsel.
