Alston & Bird has been recognized for its pro bono leadership in the nation’s capital with the naming of 24 firm attorneys to the “2017 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll.”
Jointly sponsored by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, the honor roll recognizes attorneys who devote 50 or more hours of pro bono service per year. Lawyers who complete 100 hours or more of pro bono work annually qualify for “high honors.” Recognized attorneys are members of the D.C. Bar or authorized to perform pro bono work in the District of Columbia.

The honor roll was first established in 2011 as part of the National Celebration of Pro Bono by the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center and the D.C. Access to Justice Commission. This year’s honorees represent 155 law firms and individual practices, as well as federal and local government agencies, corporations, associations, law schools, and public interest organizations.
