Alston & Bird is expanding its public policy and health care regulatory capabilities with the addition of Jane Lucas, former special assistant to the President for legislative affairs, who joins the firm as counsel in its Washington, D.C. office.

Alston & Bird has expanded its bipartisan health policy practice with the addition of Jonathan Jagoda, former senior vice president of the Federation of American Hospitals (FAH). Jonathan joins the firm as senior policy advisor in the Washington, D.C. office.

Alston & Bird has formed a working group to advise clients on the business and legal implications of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Alston & Bird has expanded its federal and international tax capabilities with the addition of veteran tax attorney Richard Slowinski as a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Slowinski joins from Baker McKenzie, where he practiced for more than 25 years and served in key leadership roles, including chair of the Washington Office Tax Practice and member of the firm’s North American Transfer Pricing Steering Committee.
