Alston & Bird has boosted its Finance Group and Structured & Warehouse Finance Team by adding partner Boong-Kyu (B.K.) Lee in New York. B.K. focuses his practice on advising issuers, underwriters, and financial institutions on a wide range of structured finance transactions, including public and private securitizations across key asset classes.

In a strategic decision to expand its European practice, Alston & Bird has opened a London office on the strength of its growing finance and payments practices. The office supports the firm’s finance and payments industry clients doing business in the U.K. and across Europe, as well as local investors and clients transacting business in the United States.

Shanell Cramer, partner and co-chair of Alston & Bird’s Finance Group, has been recognized as a "Distinguished Leader” by the New York Law Journal in its 2020 awards honoring attorneys in leadership roles who have achieved impressive results and demonstrated clear leadership skills in the past year.

Alston & Bird announces the election of 27 lawyers to its partnership, effective January 1, 2024. The new partners span six offices and 11 practice groups.
