Helen Su Named a Top China Lawyer by China Business Law Journal

Helen Su, Alston & Bird partner and leader of the firm’s China Business Team, has been recognized by the China Business Law Journal in its “A-List 2019: China’s Elite Lawyers (Foreign Firms).” This is the second consecutive year that Su has been recognized as a top private practice lawyer for China-related business.

As noted by the publication, Su was singled out not only for her “profound legal knowledge and practical experience,” but also her dedication to “customer first.”

In a profile accompanying her selection, Che Gan, deputy manager of sales and marketing at Taishan Gypsum, said of Su: “She is always working and ready to communicate at any time. As there are differences between Chinese law and American law, she tries to explain complicated legal issues in a simple and concise way from multiple perspectives using her professional knowledge.”

Based in Alston & Bird’s Washington, D.C. office, Su focuses her practice on cross-border litigation, arbitration, and related strategy counseling with an emphasis on intellectual property, product liability, and commercial disputes. Her practice also encompasses corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and international business transactions involving the U.S., China, Hong Kong, and Europe.

The China Business Law Journal is the only fully bilingual monthly magazine for China-focused business and legal practitioners. The A-List honorees are based on more than 1,000 recommendations received by the publication from in-house counsel in China and around the world, as well as partners at Chinese and international law firms.
